My journey begins in Buenos Aires, where I was born on the first day of summer in the Southern Hemisphere. Years later, after spending time in Barcelona, my life took an unexpected turn one magical summer night while dancing tango on the Costa Brava. That’s when I met a lovely French woman—who would later become my wife.
Through her, I discovered my deep love for France. She introduced me to the elegance, refinement, and warmth of French culture.
Travel has always been my passion, and I’ve loved inspiring others to explore the world. Now, I can’t wait to introduce you to the wonderful treasures this amazing country has to offer.

Diego’s birth in France: A passion turned into a project
Our whirlwind love story in Barcelona eventually led us to start a French-Argentine family. I studied the language of Molière and, when our daughter Anaïs turned six, we made the decision to move to France and keep discovering this beautiful country.
That passion—to explore and to share—sparked the creation of Diego en France. This blog is where I tell our story, offering complete guides to the small, charming villages we’ve visited. I share tips to help other families enjoy these magical places just like we do.
Falling in Love with French Beauty
France turned out to be the perfect place for my curiosity—everywhere you look, there’s a postcard-perfect village waiting to be explored.
I fell in love with France, a land where history, culture, and beauty are woven into everyday life. Here, simplicity and sophistication coexist in the most natural way. And that sparked something in me—a deep desire to find and experience the lesser-known, picture-perfect villages scattered throughout the countryside.
There’s nothing quite like the feeling of walking through cobblestone streets soaked in centuries of stories. I imagine the lives lived there long ago and savor the quiet magic that lingers in the air. These places have soul—and I never tire of being surprised by them.
